        As March quickly comes to a end we are getting closer to our departure goal.   We have been in the testing stage with our rig and all seems fine.  The mods are working, the noise level has drastically been reduced,.... (THANK GAWD!!). Plus a new set of shoes for the rig, General Grabbers AT2, (frickin great tires).  And now its time to begin the adventure. Monday, March 26th is our projected date of departure and boy are we excited.....  


We did some adventure cruising in and around our home base for what might be the last time,  Fakahatchee Strand Preserve State Park Swamp walk Tram tour, ***** Good stuff!! highly recommend it, go thru Friends of the Fakahatchee!!

 Also we bicycled a 15 mi loop road in Shark Valley, located at north end of the Everglades National  Park east of the Miccosukee Cultural Center. Gators, gators and more gators with a awesome look out at the half way point.

 Next we headed to the south entrance of the Everglades National Park, drove 47mi into the most incredible part of South Florida to view birds, flora and fauna.  Mahogany Hammock, Pa-hay-okee Overlook, Rowdy Bend Trail, Flamingo, so much more to list and to see-The real Florida!

Spend some time camping in the Everglades National Park, there are two sites,
Flamingo next to the water or my favorite, Long Pine Key in the Pinelands has beautiful wooded campsites with a lake and small island...
